Our Christmas social this year took the form of an Art Quiz compiled by Annette Hughes who although she was unable to be with us, provided us with a comprehensive range of challenging and entertaining questions. The evening was a great success. I tried very hard to be a diligent quiz master who by getting a grip early on managed to rein in the enthusiasm of some members as the effects of the competitive spirit took hold.
Our long-standing member Sue Angus received our grateful thanks for once again providing us with a beautifully decorated table complete with illuminations and model toy soldiers – a sight that always puts us in the festive mood.
Sue has been decorating our Christmas tables for many years now, and it was with a modern ‘Frozen’ twist in mind for this year. She is perfect for the task having spent much of her working life making life bright and colourful for people of all ages from working in Primary schools and to later in Secondary schools and college. She has also had great fun working on huge floral events in local churches and community Halls.
Thank you once again Sue for giving of your time and we look forward to next year…….
The evening was huge fun. Everyone enjoyed themselves even if they didn’t always get to bend as many non-existent rules as they might have liked. We must do it again sometime.
