This is the fourth year that our annual exhibition has been held here at the Rose Paterson Gallery, Weston Park in this interesting space that gives such opportunities for interesting curatorial arrangements.
It is pleasing to see that, once again, the work in the exhibition shows the Society in a good light. Thanks are due to all who submitted work for selection.
Mostly though, thanks go to our Honorary Curator, Jacky Fellows, and the team who have helped to select and hang the work. It is, as always, a very wide and varied collection of techniques and styles, reflecting the diverse interests of our membership.
The Society is fortunate to have a committee made up of people with a positive and lively approach to their art and to the Society. I think it reflects in the work being shown in this exhibition, long may that continue.
Steve went on to introduce guest speaker, James Millichamp, head of art at Shrewsbury High School.
