For MA and PhD research I was looking at the invisibility of women in the archive; Jeanne Baret the first woman to circumnavigate the globe in the 1700’s who collected thousands of plant specimens now archived at Natural History Museum Paris and is absent from the archive, and marine biologist, Jeanne Villepreux Power who had connections with the Royal Society, her life’s work lost in a shipwreck.
