My aim when I left University was to help to engender enthusiasm for the Arts in others regardless of age or ability. I hope I have achieved some of my goals by working with Early Years, in adult art classes, at a Young Offenders Institute, and school and community project days.
My enjoyment in art began when painting scenery flats for St Bart’s Bards pantomime group which led onto painting murals in private and public spaces.
Printmaking encompasses so many things to make a print which is what I love, research, drawing, craft cutting, scribing, glue and ink and a final magic moment when it comes from the press or hand burnishing.
The landscape and elements from my garden are usually my starting points which I enjoy translating through my favourite methods of printmaking ; collagraph, drypoint, Lino and monoprinting.
