Three Fine Art prizes awarded by Wolverhampton Society of Artists (WSA)

On Monday 16 September the prestigious Graduation Award Ceremony of the University of Wolverhampton was held at the Grand Theatre Wolverhampton.

The President of the WSA, Keith Oram, presented three prizes for Fine Art to graduates from the University of Wolverhampton School of Art.

The Fine Art degree students, Matthew Garvin, Tariq Evans and Edward Kemshell were presented with a cheque for £50 each along with Tashcen Reference Books on Hopper, Picasso and Kandinsky.

Keith Oram said “The WSA is celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2019 and it’s our aim to ensure that we attract new and exciting artists to our group. It is interesting to note that we actually gave out prizes 100 years ago to students in the Wolverhampton School of Art and it’s wonderful to be resurrecting this practice, hopefully inspiring more young people to pursue art and hopefully engage for the long term with the Wolverhampton Society of Artists.

We wish all three graduates well for the future and their chosen career paths.
