Paul Francis-Walker
Paul has had over 40 years experience in creating and teaching art. He has a wide knowledge of historical techniques covering various mediums and methods. He has taught at numerous art colleges and adult education centres including Higham Hall in Cumbria.
He is also an illustrator, photographer and writer specializing in Historical subject’s specifically medieval armour and has had work published in periodicals including his book The History of Armour 1100 to 1700 (published by Crowood press).
His most recent commission was for the De Morgan foundation to recreate three of Evelyn De Morgans paintings that had been lost to a fire in 1997.
This work was exhibited at Wolverhampton art gallery in 2024 as part of the Evelyn De Morgan Exhibition “Painted Dreams”
Other galleries include Ruskin’s house, Brantwood in Cumbria. Wightwick manor, Wolverhampton where he also demonstrated historical painting techniques specifically Pre Raphaelite painting methods. His work is currently at The Guildhall Gallery, London until 2026.
