Howard Pullar

Most of my paintings are in oil or acrylic. When painting I like to show light and tone, with emphasis on atmospheric skies. A lot of my paintings are of the local area of Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

I like painting both urban and rural landscapes showing different light variations at different times of the year. 

Many of my paintings show panoramic views where I try to create a feeling of distance in a painterly style. I find that quite often the best paintings are ones that I have produced quickly and not changed too much.
